PETS, R&D Cross 2012 Horse of the Year Contest | Progressive ...

Vote for your favorite and most deserving equine volunteer.

This year with gratitude for the support from R&D Cross/Southern States for many years PETS is launching its first ?PETS/R&D Cross Horse of the Year? contest where participants and supporters of the program can vote for their favorite horse.

R&D Cross is relied on for many of the program?s needs. From feed and horse care essentials to materials for the barn, PETS and the Prince George?s County Equestrian Center shop at this Upper Marlboro landmark business. In an effort to promote the program and R&D Cross, PETS is asking volunteers, riders, instructors and fans to vote for their favorite PETS horse.

The ?contestants? are those horses currently being used in program lessons. People can come to the barn each lesson night and vote and they can also vote online in our Facebook poll. Online, you can have your friends vote for the horse you think should be horse of the year by sharing the PETS Facebook page.Voting ends on midnight Thursday, August 23, the last lesson before the 2012 Show Off. The top two vote getters will be sent to the instructors to pick the horse they believe has served the program well this year. The winner will be announced at the Show Off and a group photo will be taken to send to R&D Cross.

Join us in selecting our first ?Horse of the Year? and thanking R&D Cross for being a valued business our program can rely on.
