While at the International Society of Glass Beadmakers conference this past week I had the opportunity to hear Tonya Davidson, owner of Whole Lotta Whimsy, present about being successful in the art world, as a business, and you might be interested in her new coaching program to help you achieve success through Artful Success.
There was so much information in her short hour presentation that I couldn?t take it all in. I walked away: 1) feeling good about what I had been doing when I was focused on the upward growth of my business (branding and social media, even though I was doing that way before facebook and twitter); 2) proud of some recent changes I?ve made to head back towards that path again (hiring a studio helper and bookkeeper- ?investing in my team?) and 3) with so much to think about as I head into uncharted territory with a higher end line of work not based on production.
As I come down from the high of the conference I have many notes that I jotted down that I really need to sit down and get clear on. How much do I REALLY need to charge to be profitable in a way that can be supportive of a family rather than supportive of a hobby? How can I work on re-branding? How can I work smarter, not harder, etc. Some of these come from my own gears turning after hearing Tonya, but I bet that all of it is included in her coaching program too. So check it out at the links above.
